Boarding Pass: Ibiza — Island of Freedom, Fringe, Sparkle & Flared Pants
Today's episode of the Boarding Pass Series takes a little detour.
Unlike the previous ones, we’re sticking to just one destination — but bringing in several brands that match its unmistakable vibe.
Welcome to Ibiza.
I’ll be honest: it’s been a minute since I’ve been there. But back in my single-girl era, I was basically a seasonal resident. Therefore before we dive into the brands that capture the spirit of this island of freedom, I thought I’d share a couple of my own looks. Even though they’re from a few years back, the mood (and the unofficial dress code) hasn’t changed.
First up: what I wore to Solomun night at Pacha.
Yes, Pacha does have a dress code — no flip flops, no swimwear, and guys, leave the shorts for the beach parties. But beyond that, it’s very relaxed. Even if you’ve got a VIP table, no one’s expecting heels and a dress.
My go-to? Something that mixes sexy and boho. Think: flared pants, a crop top (abs on display is part of the look), and a fringed bag to keep things on-brand with Ibiza’s free-spirited energy.
And yes — leave the diamonds at home.
Make some room on your wrist for the real headliners: VIP access bracelets.
Next up: my go-to relaxed look that goes from beach to party without skipping a beat.
What sets it apart from my more polished South of France outfits?
Fun denim shorts, rhinestone sunglasses (mine are from Freda Banana — sadly the brand is no longer around, but you might score a pair through resellers), and an all-around more playful vibe.
While I wore these outfits in Ibiza a few years ago, I still find them totally relevant. Personally, I don’t chase trends—I invest in pieces that last and that actually fit my style and vibe.
That said… a little closet update never hurt anyone.
So let’s dive into my selection of 10 brands that can handle Ibiza’s energy—both the trendy and the timeless.
I didn’t have plans for Ibiza this summer, but putting this edit together definitely got me in the mood… so who knows?
1. Loewe
If you’d love to be a diligent destination dress code matcher, the first thing to do is to look into local brands. Spanish brand Loewe comes to mind—not just for its origin, but for its cool, playful, free-spirited vibe, made for someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously (tomato bag? yes, please!). Which absolutely matches the energy of Ibiza—especially (I know, groundbreaking!) their Paula’s Ibiza collections. I’d particularly look into their sunglasses and bags. I’ve prepared a selection of my favourite pieces that will not only bring some joy to your vacation wardrobe, but can also handle the heat of the coolest backstages.
2. Leslie Amon
And if we’re talking trends—this year is all about that sparkly mermaid energy. Your Instagram feed is probably flooded with Euro-summer outfits dripping in sequins, brights, and shimmer you can wear straight from beach to bar. And honestly, I love the joyful, look-at-me vibe.
But let’s be real—not every destination can handle that level of sparkle. So no, I wouldn’t call it a Euro-summer essential.
Ibiza, though? Welcome on board.
One brand that fully delivers on that agenda—especially with its now-viral starfish dress—is Leslie Amon.
3. Staud Tommy Bag
Another showstopper—and total Instagram star—is the Tommy Beaded Bag by Staud. With endless playful patterns, there’s one for every outfit and every mood. Pro tip: either find a matching set to go full maximalist, or keep the rest of your look clean and let the bag have its main character moment.
4. Oceanus Swimwear
In Ibiza, the party can find you poolside—so your swimsuit better be ready to shine on the poolfloor. That’s where Oceanus comes in. The brand may hail from rainy London, but it brings serious sparkle—maybe to make up for the city’s lack of sun. Either way, their swimwear is pure sunshine (with sequins).
It also had a moment in The White Lotus Season 3 guide.
5. Asta Restort
One more brand that fits the Instagrammable-meets-festive brief is Asta Resort, based in Los Angeles with Danish and Australian roots. It’s already been spotted on the usual fashion insiders—Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid, and more—but what I really like is how their pieces align with the spirit of my blog: turning every destination into a canvas for personal style.
I didn’t find Ibiza in their official destination edit—but that’s exactly why you have me (and this blog). That’s the whole point of the Brand Boarding Pass series: spotting the perfect matches—even when the brands haven’t made the connection yet.
6. Anna Kosturova
Another Euro-summer essential—especially on Ibiza’s wavelength—is the crochet set. While plenty of brands have hopped on the crochet train, I’d recommend looking into Anna Kosturova. They specialize in knitted summer pieces, and the quality truly holds up. Think laid-back boho, but elevated—for those more polished kinds of beach lunches.
7. Anya Hindmarch
Let’s be honest—we’re all a bit bored of the same old designer bag rotation. So for Ibiza? Leave them at home. Especially when there are brands like Anya Hindmarch: fun, clever, and full of personality. Her pieces match perfectly with Ibiza’s playful, free-spirited vibe. Personally, I’m totally in love. Bonus points: they’re surprisingly affordable.
8. Isabel Marant Bags
And what if sequins and all that color feel a bit too much? Then lean into the boho, hippie side of Ibiza: think neutral crochet sets, flared pants, and of course, a fringed bag. For timeless, free-spirited pieces, look no further than Isabel Marant—she’s practically the patron saint of effortless boho with just the right amount of edge.
9. Self-Portrait Jewellery
First of all—as I already said—leave your diamonds at home. And if you really can’t live without showing off, get your wrists ready for the VIP bracelet game. Trust me, in Ibiza, those will turn more heads than your full rainbow Van Cleef set.
But if you’re more of a laid-back Ibiza vacationer, the kind who prefers long sangria-fueled lunches to afterparties, go for beach jewellery. Shells, beads, and sun-faded charms are everywhere right now.
There are plenty of brands doing that trend, but since I have a soft spot for Self-Portrait, I have to highlight their jewellery collection. (They also made an appearance in my Brand Boarding Pass – City Edit episode)
10. Eyepetizer
My embedded Freda Banana sunglasses were definitely turning heads—and totally passed the Ibiza vibe check. But since the brand is no longer around, I went on a mission to find alternatives with a similar playful aesthetic (and without the designer price tag). Let’s be honest, this is not your essential pair of sunglasses—it’s your fun one.
Enter Eyepetizer: a brand with cute, quirky frames that hit the sweet spot between statement and wearable. And of course, I’ve already done the work for you—here are my top picks.
Of course, this isn’t the only vibe Ibiza has to offer—but it’s definitely the one that makes the island feel so special (and addictive). And if, one day, you start missing the polished ambiance of Monaco or St. Tropez, there’s always Lío or Cipriani.
But that’s a story for another episode of my Brand Boarding Pass Series.
